FREE HOPE AGAINST TRAFFICKING EVENT: Wings of Refuge and other local anti-trafficking organizations in Iowa have partnered with Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines to hold the “Hope Against Trafficking” event on Saturday, February 5, from 1:00 – 4:30 PM. Adults and youth ages 12 and up are invited to attend for age-appropriate panels and breakout sessions on sex trafficking in Iowa. Special guests include Dorothy’s House, Garden Gate Ranch, Wings of Refuge, Hope for Justice, Set Me Free Project, and Let My People Go. Keynote speaker is Raleigh Sadler, founder of Let My People Go.

FELLOWSHIP COFFEE SERVERS NEEDED: A sign-up sheet has been provided in the narthex for individuals or families to sign up to provide and serve snacks for Fellowship Coffee.
SUNDAY NIGHT MEN’S BIBLE STUDY has resumed. All men of the congregation are invited to join in at 7:00 PM on Sunday evenings.
THURSDAY MORNING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY continues. All women are invited to bring a Bible and join us at 10:00 am on Thursday mornings as we study the book of Proverbs.
OUR DAYCARE IS HIRING: We are in need of new staff as we make a new and exciting beginning. Pastor Kathy is currently serving as our Director, but we will need a number of additional staff. We also need people available to fill in as substitutes of for the next few weeks until we are fully staffed. Even two or three hours a few times a week would help tremendously.
Volunteers who would like to help are also welcome: it would help our staff greatly if we had volunteers willing to come in for an hour or more just to rock babies or read stories to children. Talk to Pastor Kathy or sign up on the sheet on the table in the narthex.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY BAGS ARE ONCE AGAIN AVAILABLE in the narthex. Bags hanging up have been sanitized. When you return bags that have been used, please place them in the box.
SOUND & VIDEO PROJECTION PROJECT: Proposed cost of this project, which will upgrade both our sanctuary and Fellowship Hall sound systems, add security cameras to our building, allow us to livestream services, and also add video projection is $14,327.49. All of the funds necessary for this project have been raised. Thank you to all who contributed.
